Update - Tennis Court Surface

As some of you who have played in the last couple of months will be aware, the tennis court surface has suffered from a build up of moss due to the wear on the tarmac and the unprecedented amounts of rain we have had this year.

We tried to get our regular court jet washer to come and clean it but he only had availability some months away.

We then opted to buy a high power diesel jet wash which the garden staff could use to clean the surface. This was started some weeks ago but we were unable to complete the work due to the strong vibration causing damage to the gardener's hands and wrists.

We have therefore rebooked the regular cleaner to come and complete the work but were only able to book a date in early May. We are hoping he might get a cancellation in the meantime and we are also trying to find another company who might be available sooner.

In the meantime the surface remains occasionally slippy on damp days in the areas that haven’t been jet washed so please be careful.

The Committee is also in the process of getting quotes for resurfacing and tidying up the court and we will update you on this in the coming weeks.
