Important notice about feeding of animals in the Garden and Court

Dear [[firstname]]

FEEDING THE FOXES IN WARWICK SQUARE GARDEN

The Warwick Square Garden Committee have advised is that they have become very concerned about the increasing and unwelcome extent of fox activity in the Garden. The gardeners have actively and humanely prevented foxes from creating a breeding den within the Garden on several occasions.

The advice is that the key way to minimise fox presence in the Garden is to ensure there is no food for them.

CCTV evidence held by the Garden Committee clearly records that a few fobholders have been actively distributing food around the Garden, including strips of dried meat and kitchen refuse.

The Garden Rules already contain a provision, Clause 2.10, which permits the Committee’s unilateral deactivation of a member’s fob for ‘littering’ in the Garden. For the avoidance of uncertainty, the Garden Committee reminds all fobholders that the Committee’s definition of ‘littering’ hereby includes deliberately leaving food around the Garden WHICH MAY ATTRACT FOXES INTO THE GARDEN.

The Garden Rules are enforced by established disciplinary procedures, Clause 3, which have been circulated to all leaseholders in the past and are posted permanently in the glass-fronted cabinets at both entrances to the Garden.

Please note that if any such action is witnessed in person or on CCTV your fob will be immediately deactivated.

Yours sincerely

The Tennis Committee
