Tennis Court resurfacing - UPDATE

Dear [[firstname]]

We have now completed the resurfacing of the court and have tightened up the surrounding netting and installed a new brick edging which is much neater than before. There is still a small amount of concrete scraps that they need to be tidied up around the edge which will be done shortly.

We are still considering installing some low level boarding (approx 6 inches high) to stop the balls getting trapped down any gaps but propose that we hold off on this to get any feedback from players over the coming weeks.

All that remains is the painting of the court and the contractors advice is to delay this until we get some settled weather. Next week it is due to rain all week and because our court is quite shaded by trees it doesn't get as much sunshine as they would like for the paint to dry permanently. If they paint it and it does not set, it will peel off and look awful. So, we are going to have to continue with the temporary lines for the near future. We have therefore released the bookings for next week - if the weather does allow play.

We will update regarding the painting once we know more.

Kind regards

WSCL Tennis Committee
